Conversation Series:

You are invited to join us everyday on Zoom for the last hour of conversation! From 3-4pm EST, we'll open up the process, closing each day with conversations that will span the gamut of topics aimed at positioning tap dance as music. Join us daily to stay connected to the project!

If you can't make the scheduled time slot, but still want to listen, not to worry! Everyday, we'll record the sessions and email them out to each attendee.

  • Attend all the sessions on week 2 and save $25!

Workshop Series

Every aspect of phase one in 2024 includes in-studio sessions with Heather and her collaborator to share a peak into the process with the local community. Come join us on Saturday December 14 for a masterclass, clinic, and discussion session!

  • 10am-12pm

Presented for the first time in a workshop scenario, Heather focuses in on her time with Steve Condos.

This masterclass is open to all ages and levels welcome, but geared towards a minimum intermediate level, and ages 13+

  • 12:30-2:30pm

Andy Milne will lead participants through a clinic focused on knowing your collaborators - learning how to understand the artists that you compose for in order to optimize your artistic experience.

Welcome to musicians, tap dancers, and all who are interested! This clinic is geared towards professionals or those who are working towards a career in music.

*PLEASE NOTE: There is no backline in the studio space.*

  • 3-5pm

Heather and Andy dig into the process of creating “Finding Synesthesia”, which was commissioned to be presented at the 2008 London Jazz Festival. A full-length work they developed together, this show blurred the traditional roles of musician and dancer, and pushed boundaries utilizing a wide range of textures.

Join us for an interesting discussion where all questions are welcome! This session is geared towards all ages and levels.

  • Out of town, or can't make it during that day/time? We'll offer a virtual option for those who can't be with us in person. Please note: this virtual option is for the discussion session only.

If unable to tune in live, we'll record the session and send it out following the sessions. Please drop us a note to let us know!

  • Attend the first two sessions and save $25!

  • Attend Heather's masterclass from 10am-12pm, then return for the discussion session from 3-5pm, and save $15!
